External Job Vacancy – Truck Driver
Work Location: Kigali (with regular trips to Rubavu Brewery)
Job Purpose
The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of CO₂ from Gisenyi Brewery to the Kigali Soft Drink Plant. The role ensures compliance with all traffic laws, company safety standards, and environmental regulations while maintaining the integrity of the cargo and the vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy trucks to transport CO₂ between designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Ensure proper handling and securing of CO₂ cargo to prevent leaks or damage.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during transit.
- Report any mechanical issues or incidents immediately to the Fleet Coordinator.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the assigned vehicle.
- Monitor and inform of the renewal of vehicle documentation (insurance, registration, inspection) as required.
- Respond flexibly to changes in delivery schedules and urgent transportation needs.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid Rwandan driving licence: Categories B, C, and E.
- At least a High School Diploma (A2).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience driving heavy trucks in Category E.
- Demonstrated knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance with company standards.
