Position Overview
The IT Operations Manager will lead the design, implementation, and management of COPEDU PLC’s IT systems. This includes overseeing IT infrastructure, systems development, databases, cybersecurity, and digital innovation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and improve business-critical systems and applications.

Manage the full systems development life cycle (SDLC): design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

Enforce IT policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance standards.

Oversee systems integration across digital banking platforms and third-party systems.

Ensure servers, networks, and storage systems are secure, reliable, and scalable.

Manage data backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.

Strengthen cybersecurity measures and adhere to recognized security standards (e.g., ISO 27001).

Protect client data in compliance with data privacy regulations.

Supervise helpdesk operations and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.

Manage vendor relationships and monitor service-level agreements (SLAs).

Research and recommend new technologies to support business growth.

Maintain detailed documentation of IT architecture, configurations, and procedures.

Track IT performance metrics, including uptime, incident response times, and system availability.

Lead, mentor, and develop IT operations staff to achieve high service standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
-
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT operations or support (banking experience preferred).

Knowledge of Core Banking Systems (ICBS) and databases (MySQL preferred).

IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, Python) are an added advantage.

Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Knowledge of IT security standards and data protection principles.

Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality results.
