3 Job Positions – Medical Officer in Emergency Department at CHUB | Deadline: 25 Sep 2025
The Central University Hospital of Butare (CHUB) is seeking three (3) qualified Medical Officers to join the Emergency Department team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to life-saving care in one of Rwanda’s largest referral hospitals.
Job Responsibilities
-
Provide medical assessment and emergency treatment to patients in the Emergency Department.

Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other hospital staff to ensure high-quality care.

Participate in day, evening, and night shifts to guarantee continuous patient coverage.

Maintain detailed and accurate patient medical records following CHUB standards.
Minimum Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS or equivalent).
-
Valid registration with the Rwanda Medical and Dental Council.
-
At least 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or emergency care setting.
-
Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
-
Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to critical situations.
