Africa Humanitarian Action (AHA) is an International Humanitarian Non-Governmental Organization providing effective humanitarian assistance to alleviate human suffering.
For over 31 years, AHA has been committed to building the strength of African people to solve African problems.
In partnership with the Government of Rwanda (MINEMA & UNHCR), AHA provides comprehensive Primary Health Care, Nutrition, and HIV/AIDS services to refugees in Gashora, as well as Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH) services in Kigeme, Kiziba, and Mugombwa refugee camps.
Available Positions
1. Interpreter – Somali (Gashora)

Qualification: A0 in Languages or other related disciplines
-
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Somali-English translation and/or interpretation
-
Key Responsibilities:
-
Provide interpretation in Somali ↔ English
-
Support communication between refugees and humanitarian staff
-
-
Skills & Requirements:
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Cultural sensitivity and professionalism in multilingual settings
-
2. ASRH Officer (Kigeme)
-
Qualification: A1/A0 in General Nursing
-
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH) services at a health center or hospital
-
Specific Requirements:
-
Experience working with NGOs serving refugees or displaced populations
-
Trainings in ASRH, STI, OI, HIV, communication, and counseling
-
Strong knowledge of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) practices
-
Ability to work independently and in a multicultural team
-
Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English, and/or French (knowledge of all is an advantage)
-
Self-motivated and passionate about community health work
-
