Food for the Hungry (FH) is an International Christian Relief and Development organization whose mission is “to design, develop, and deliver catalytic solutions that build resilience so that children, families, and communities can flourish.”
FH Rwanda has been operating since 1994 and implements integrated relief and development projects in seven districts. The head office is located at Umuyenzi Plaza, 2nd Floor, Kisimenti – Remera.
FH Rwanda follows the Resilience and Flourishing Through Systems Transformation (RFTS) model, focusing on asset creation, productive learning, social behavior change, mental health & physical wellbeing, and disaster risk reduction.
Position Summary
The Enumerator will support data collection activities under one of FH Rwanda’s Area Programs.
S/he will be responsible for collecting high-quality quantitative and qualitative data to support monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning (MERL) activities.
The role demands accuracy, professionalism, and integrity to ensure reliable data that informs project decision-making.
Key Responsibilities

Collect quantitative and qualitative data accurately using digital or paper-based tools.

Participate in training sessions and field pre-tests before data collection.

Conduct household and community interviews following ethical and professional standards.

Work closely with FH Rwanda teams and supervisors to ensure timely data submission.

Verify completeness and accuracy of data before submission.

Provide feedback on field challenges to improve data quality.

Ensure confidentiality and data integrity at all times.

Follow all FH Rwanda policies and procedures during assignments.
Qualifications and Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Veterinary Medicine, Education, Social Science, Statistics, Community Development, Economics, or Public Health.

Proven experience in data collection/surveys for project assessments or evaluations.

Familiarity with ODK, KoboToolbox, and ability to use tablets or smartphones.

Willingness to travel extensively and work in remote areas.

Physically fit to handle long field hours and hilly terrain.
-
Strong confidentiality and trust-building skills.
-
Fluency in Kinyarwanda and English.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Requirements

Good computer skills (MS Office, mobile/web-based databases).
