Job Description

The Monitoring and Evaluation Senior Engineer reports to the Director of the Technical Support Unit and plays a key role in ensuring effective oversight of all road maintenance projects funded by RMF.

Key Responsibilities

Draft and update monitoring, inspection, and evaluation manuals/procedures for road maintenance projects.
Analyse project specifications, technical drawings, time schedules, and budgets.
Assess contractors’ performance and address deficiencies.
Monitor project expenditures and progress to ensure completion within planned timelines and budgets.
Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports.
Collaborate with the technical team to keep the Contract Management System database up to date.
Conduct regular field visits to collect project data and provide feedback for improvement.
Advise management on performance and recommend corrective actions where needed.

Qualifications

Master’s in Civil Engineering with 1 year of relevant experience, or
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with 3 years of relevant experience, or
Master’s Degree in Road Engineering, Pavement Engineering, or Highway Engineering and Management with 1 year of relevant experience.

Required Certificate: Professional Engineering License
