Our client, an African Fusion Restaurant located in Kigali, is seeking a highly sophisticated, proactive, and intuitive Guest Relations Manager to join their exceptional team.
Job Summary
As the Guest Relations Manager, you will be the central point of contact for VIP and high-profile guests, ensuring a seamless, personalized, and exceptional experience from reservation to post-visit engagement.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Serve as the primary contact for VIP guests and manage special event inquiries.

Manage the guest journey from booking to follow-up, maintaining detailed guest profiles.

Personally welcome and attend to key guests, ensuring all needs are met discreetly.

Create personalized experiences—custom menus, special surprises, and milestone celebrations.

Oversee the reservation system and optimize guest flow and seating.

Handle high-pressure booking requests and complex seating needs with diplomacy.

Analyze guest feedback and implement improvement strategies.

Develop guest retention initiatives to increase loyalty and repeat visits.

Manage guest recovery to turn challenges into opportunities for relationship-building.

Support the planning and execution of private dining events and buyouts.
Qualifications
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a guest-facing, luxury hospitality role.

Knowledge of reservation and table management systems.

Strong relationship-building and communication skills.

Impeccable personal presentation and problem-solving under pressure.

Emotional intelligence and ability to anticipate guest needs.

Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Skills

Passion for fine food, wine, and hospitality.

Multilingual abilities (advantageous).

Experience with CRM systems.

Proactive, detail-oriented, and self-driven personality.
Salary & Benefits
Monthly Net Salary: RWF 250,000
