Tender Overview
The Rwanda Climate Change and Development Network (RCCDN), through the Climate Just Communities (CJC) Program, is calling on qualified companies to submit bids for the supply, delivery, installation, and training of 10 mobile solar-powered irrigation equipment with battery.
The equipment will be distributed to farmer groups in Ngororero District (Kageyo, Kavumu, and Muhanda sectors) to improve water access, enhance agricultural productivity, and strengthen climate resilience for communities affected by recurrent drought and water scarcity.
Objectives

Demonstrate the effectiveness of mobile solar-powered irrigation systems.

Improve agricultural productivity and water access in the targeted sectors.

Provide practical training on usage and maintenance for farmers and local technicians.

Support farmers in building resilience to drought conditions.
Scope of Work
The selected company will be responsible for:

Supplying 10 complete solar-powered irrigation kits (see technical specs below).

Delivering the equipment to farmer groups in Kageyo, Kavumu, and Muhanda.

Providing on-site installation services.

Conducting practical training for farmers and local technicians.

Ensuring the equipment meets technical requirements and is adaptable to local conditions.
