About the Fellowship
Stanford University’s Asia Health Policy Program (AHPP) offers a fully funded fellowship for recent PhD graduates whose research focuses on health and health policy in the Asia-Pacific region — particularly in low- and middle-income country contexts.
Fellows conduct original research on contemporary health or healthcare policy topics, with opportunities to present work at seminars and publish with APARC.
Eligibility Criteria
PhD conferred no more than 3 years prior to the start of the fellowship (MD holders: within 6 years).
Final degree must be completed by 30 June 2026.
Fellowship is in-residence – fellows must be at Stanford for the entire period.
Minimum duration: 10 months (salary and benefits prorated).
Fellowship Benefits
Salary: USD 80,000 (for 12 months, prorated for 10 months)
Research Allowance: USD 3,000
Full access to Stanford resources, seminars, and APARC publication support
Dedicated time to focus on research without teaching or outside obligations
