Position: Communications Officer
Reports to: Program Manager

Purpose of the Role
The Communications Officer will design and lead strategies that boost Gahaya Links’ visibility, digital presence, and brand identity, focusing on storytelling, media engagement, and communication around the Rwanda Creative Program.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and branding strategy

Collect and share stories of impact from artisans and beneficiaries

Create engaging content (newsletters, brochures, social media posts, videos)

Manage the organization’s digital platforms and campaigns
-
Build relationships with media, influencers, and stakeholders

Prepare press releases, speeches, and media kits
-
Produce quarterly communication reports and ensure compliance with branding guidelines
Candidate Profile
-
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, PR, or Media Studies (Digital Marketing training is an added advantage)

Minimum 5 years’ experience in branding, communications, or marketing

Proven skills in social media strategy, visual storytelling, and content creation
-
Strong understanding of brand positioning and consumer engagement
-
Excellent writing, editing, and research skills
-
Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Hootsuite, Mailchimp (or similar tools)

Bilingual (English & French) preferred
