Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Social Media and Content Marketing Officer is responsible for planning, creating, managing, and optimizing all digital and social media marketing activities to build the company’s online presence, strengthen brand visibility, and increase customer engagement and sales. This role plays a key part in telling the Herbmadz brand story, promoting beverages, and connecting with customers across digital channels.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Social Media Management
- Develop and execute a social media strategy aligned with the company’s marketing goals.
- Manage day-to-day posting, engagement, and performance tracking on all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
- Plan and maintain a monthly social media calendar for product campaigns, events, and promotions.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, comments, and messages.
- Monitor and analyze social media insights to measure performance and adjust strategy accordingly.
2. Content Creation and Brand Storytelling
- Develop creative, engaging, and high-quality content (text, photos, videos, reels, stories, and graphics).
- Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and designers to produce branded visuals.
- Write compelling captions, blog posts, and product descriptions that reflect the brand’s tone and message.
- Ensure all content maintains consistency in brand identity, voice, and visual style.
3. Digital Campaigns and Advertising
- Plan and execute paid social media advertising campaigns (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, Google Ads, etc.).
- Support influencer collaborations, product launches, and social media contests.
- Track ROI of digital campaigns and provide actionable insights for improvement.
4. Analytics and Reporting
- Monitor social media performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversion).
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports highlighting progress, insights, and recommendations.
- Use analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Canva Insights, etc.) to measure effectiveness.
5. Brand Development & Public Engagement
- Promote a positive brand image through creative digital storytelling.
- Stay up-to-date on digital trends, beverage marketing innovations, and consumer behavior.
- Support event coverage (product activations, tasting events, exhibitions, etc.) through live posting and content capture.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content creation (experience in the beverage or FMCG industry is an advantage).
- Proven portfolio of creative social media work and campaigns.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Strong storytelling, writing, and visual communication skills.
- Proficiency with content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut, or similar).
- Familiarity with digital advertising tools (Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads).
- Good photography/videography and editing skills.
- Knowledge of SEO and online analytics tools.
- Excellent planning, organization, and time management.
- Creativity, adaptability, and a keen understanding of digital trends.
- Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
