The University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) is a new kind of university training the next generation of global health leaders to deliver equitable, high-quality healthcare. Founded in 2015 and an initiative of Partners In Health (PIH), UGHE aims to drive transformational and systemic changes in health systems while empowering students to ease suffering and advance social justice.
UGHE’s work in Rwanda builds upon over a decade of innovation led by Inshuti Mu Buzima (PIH Rwanda) and the Rwandan Ministry of Health, focusing on health system strengthening and community-based care.
Position Overview
The Project Facilitator – Kikundi Community of Practice will support the implementation of a digitally supported Community of Practice (CoP) for Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) Program Managers across Africa.
This platform — Kikundi — fosters collaboration, shared learning, and problem-solving to help NTD Program Managers meet national and global benchmarks.
The Facilitator will play a key role in content management, coordination, communication, and engagement within the Kikundi CoP digital platform.
Key Responsibilities
Community of Practice (CoP) Management

Manage and facilitate the Kikundi CoP digital platform and discussion forums.

Curate and post engaging content (resources, discussion topics, and announcements).

Maintain online content, web pages, and event calendars.

Liaise regularly with Kikundi members to identify needs and encourage participation.

Coordinate all project logistics, communications, and events.

Oversee the Leadership Council and Advisory Committee meetings.

Prepare and distribute reports, newsletters, and meeting summaries.

Support problem-solving and implementation of CoP activities.
Center for One Health Support

Contribute to academic programs, research, and curriculum activities.

Represent UGHE on internal and external committees when required.

Provide general support to the Center for One Health’s initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements

Master’s degree in a relevant field.
-
Fluency in English and French (required).

Experience working on Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) is an advantage.

Proven skills in project coordination and logistics management.

Experience working with adult learners and in sub-Saharan Africa.

Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Proficiency with digital collaboration tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Trello, Asana, etc.).

Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and data analysis tools.

Strong networking skills and the ability to enhance community engagement.
