Job Announcement – DUHAMIC-ADRI

DUHAMIC-ADRI is a national non-governmental organization legally operating in Rwanda since 1985. The organization implements diverse programs focusing on economic empowerment, agriculture, environment protection, social behavior change, emergency response, and capacity building targeting vulnerable populations.

DUHAMIC-ADRI is seeking a passionate and experienced Project Coordinator to lead the implementation of its Agri-value Chain Project.


 Job Details

  • Duty Station: DUHAMIC-ADRI Head Office, Kigali

  • Reports to: Programs Manager

  • Contract Type: One-year renewable (based on performance)

  • Salary: To be determined


 Major Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, design, and implementation.

  • Ensure financial oversight, proper resource allocation, and compliance with policies.

  • Collaborate with partners and stakeholders for effective project delivery.

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to project staff to achieve targets.

  • Ensure quality and timely delivery of project outputs and documentation.

  • Coordinate learning, adaptation, and sharing of project insights.

  • Conduct monitoring, evaluation, and regular reporting.

  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual progress reports.

  • Represent DUHAMIC-ADRI at various forums.

  • Participate in resource mobilization and fundraising initiatives.


 Position Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences, Crop Production, or Agribusiness.

  • Master’s degree in the above fields or Project Management is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years’ proven experience in project management in the agriculture sector.

  • At least 5 years managing projects funded by development partners.

  • Strong experience in value chain development (maize, horticulture, mushroom, etc.).

  • Experience working with producer groups, cooperatives, refugees, women, men, and persons with disabilities (mainly smallholder farmers).

  • Proven track record in budgeting, execution, monitoring, and reporting.

  • Skills in coordinating projects supporting smallholder farmers in horticulture and livestock.

  • Experience in data analysis, studies, and evaluation reports.

  • Demonstrated experience in capacity building, coaching, and stakeholder engagement.

Other Requirements

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Kinyarwanda.

  • Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • High-level planning, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.

  • Must not be older than 45 years.
