Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the McDonnell International Scholars Academy Fellowship, applicants must:

Apply to an eligible WashU master’s or doctoral program through the WashU Graduate Application Portal.

Hold or expect to complete a bachelor’s degree (or higher) before July 2026.

Submit a separate McDonnell Academy fellowship application in addition to the academic program application.

Be from any domestic or international institution (priority is given to graduates of the Academy’s 30+ partner universities).
Note: This fellowship is not open to undergraduate applicants.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit the following materials:

Personal Essay: A 750-word statement describing why you want to be a McDonnell Scholar and how the fellowship aligns with your goals.

Short Video: A two-minute recorded video responding to provided prompts to showcase your personality, motivation, and vision.
