Mission/Core Purpose of the Job
Manager, Financial Reporting, is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reports, providing timely and insightful data to support decision-making within the organization. This role involves leading a team to prepare financial statements, analyze financial performance, and maintain strong internal controls, all while collaborating with various departments to promote transparency and uphold the highest standards in financial reporting. Ultimately, the manager aims to contribute to the financial health and strategic goals of the company.
Key Performance Areas
•      Contributes to the development of the departmental business plan based on rigorous environmental and competitor analysis.
•      Lead technical accounting reviews for new products, digital services, contracts, and complex transactions

•      Prepare technical accounting position papers for management, auditors, and group reporting teams.
•      Guide internal teams on appropriate accounting treatments for emerging fintech innovations.,
•      Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS-compliant financial statements.
•      Ensure timely preparation of audit-ready schedules, reconciliations, disclosures, and statutory reporting.
•      Support continuous enhancement of reporting quality, timeliness, and accuracy
•      Coordinate group consolidation requirements, ensuring accurate intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
•      Prepare consolidation packs for submission to group entities.
•      Maintain compliance with group reporting standards and timelines.
•      Serve as the primary technical contact for both internal and external auditors.
•      Respond to complex audit queries and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
•      Lead preparation and review of technical audit schedules, including revenue, impairments, deferred tax, provisions, and financial instruments
•      Drive improvements in month-end close processes, documentation standards, and financial controls.
Experience
·      4–7 years of relevant experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, or audit in a busy performing company is mandatory.
·      Proven expertise in preparing IFRS technical papers and handling complex accounting matters.
·      Experience in telecom, fintech, banking, or financial services is an added advantage.
·      Strong proficiency in ERP systems, advanced Excel, and reporting tools.
Education Background
·      Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
·      Professional qualifications: ACCA, CPA, CFA (mandatory).
