Job description: Junior Accountant 

About us

Our hair factory is a dynamically growing manufacturing company that produces high-quality hair products for international markets. To support our production manager, we are looking for a committed, reliable and structured individual who combines organisational skills with practical implementation strength.

Your responsibilities

As a junior accountant, you will act as the central interface between the tax advisor, the CEO, the general production manager and the production department.

1. MAIN TASKS

ZOHO accounting software

  • Financial transactions, by bank or cash
  • Accurate and timely filing (maximum 3 days) in paper and digital form, and recording and posting
  • Invoices and receipts with and without EBM (maximum time frame 3 days)
    • Collecting, sorting, organising, filing and posting, balancing
    • Collecting missing receipts from employees and suppliers
  • Importing invoices, delivery notes, customs documents and receipts
    • Collecting, sorting, organising, filing and posting, balancing
    • Collecting missing receipts from employees, carriers and suppliers
  • Export invoices, delivery notes, customs documents and receipts
    • Creating all necessary documents, collecting, sorting, organising, filing and posting, balancing
  • Creating payment requests and reminders by checking documents and requesting payments, customer payments, payments to suppliers and service providers
  • Wage bookings
    • Checking work lists, stock lists, and workers’ timesheets
    •  Preparing wage transfers and wage payments in cash.
    •  Processing payroll accounts and wage lists (calculation of wages, withholdings, deductions and net wages) as well as social security contributions
FINANCIAL REPORTS
  • Filing of financial documents in paper and electronic form
  • Preparing all financial reports for the board and the authorities.
  • Preparation of VAT reports, approval by CEO and CA, and submission to the authorities
  • Preparing PAYE reports, approval by CEO and CA, and submission to the authorities
  • Preparation of RSSB reports, approval by CEO and CA, and submission to the authorities
  • Preparation and submission of all tax returns
  • Preparation of annual financial statements and balance sheets, approval by CEO and CA, and submission to the authorities.
  • Assistance with audits and other financial reviews
  • Management of petty cash and weekly reporting
  • Coordinating with other departments to collect the necessary financial information, such as utilities, consumables, energy
  • Support for the logistics and procurement department
  • Supporting the implementation of accounting software and systems
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
  • Performing other assigned tasks

2. Import management

  1. Preparation, checking and management of all import documents, customs documents, certificates of origin and all relevant documents
  2. Communication with suppliers, freight forwarders and customs authorities
  3. Handling of customs formalities, completion of all customs clearance procedures for imports in compliance with all relevant customs regulations and systems
  4. Monitoring deadlines and tracking goods deliveries
  5. Checking delivery notes, invoices and goods receipts in our MUB warehouse
  6. up to correct booking in our stock control system

3. Export management

  1. Preparation, control and management of all export documents, customs documents and certificates of origin
  2. Communication with suppliers, carriers and customs authorities
  3. Handling of customs formalities, completion of all customs clearance procedures for exports in compliance with all relevant customs regulations and systems
  4. Monitoring of deadlines and tracking of goods from deliveries
  5. Checking delivery notes, invoices and goods leaving our MUB warehouse with correct entry in our stock control system
  6. Coordination with carriers and international customers
  7. Monitoring shipping dates and export regulations
  8. Maintaining customer data and documenting export processes.

4. Warehouse management and materials management

  1. As long as there is no in-house stock manager in the company to take on the following tasks, you must perform all of the following tasks accurately and perfectly. You must then train the new stock manager and monitor their bookings, work and inventories.
  2. Booking incoming materials and maintaining stock levels, MUB stock and local stock levels
  3. Monitoring material movements and write-offs
  4. Regular stock checks and preparation of inventory
  5. Supporting the optimisation of warehouse processes
  6. Prepare stock statistics and consumption analyses, submit them to the Yoll and tax authorities, and reconcile the data with these authorities. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THAT THE COMPANY DOES NOT ENCOUNTER ANY DIFFICULTIES WITH THE AUTHORITIES and does not have to pay any penalties.

Your profile

  • Minimum requirements for qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

  • At least 3 years of experience as a junior accountant in the manufacturing industry

  • Experience in finance and accounting for multinational companies

  • Experience in using e-banking systems

Technical skills and abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to take responsibility, work independently and respond effectively to changing priorities

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work under pressure and juggle competing priorities in a busy, fast-paced and challenging environment with minimal supervision, effectively managing multiple tasks
