1. Introduction
Rusumo Power Company Limited (RPCL) is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) jointly established by the Governments of Burundi, Rwanda, and Tanzania. The company serves as a shared institutional mechanism for the co-management of power generation and supply to the respective national utilities.
RPCL is publicly financed, publicly owned, and privately managed to oversee activities during the operational phase of the Regional Rusumo Falls Hydroelectric Project (RRFHP).
The project’s infrastructure is distributed as follows:

Generation facility: Located on the Tanzanian side.

Switchyard: Located on the Rwandan side.

Dam: Situated on the Kagera River, between Rwanda and Tanzania.

Transmission lines: Connect the switchyard to the national grids of Rwanda, Burundi, and Tanzania.
2. Tender Overview
The Rusumo Power Company Limited (RPCL) has secured funds for the following assignment:
Design, Supply, and Installation of Floating Trash Boom Barrier and Related Equipment
This work will be implemented at the Regional Rusumo Falls Hydroelectric Project (RRFHP), located on the Kagera River, along the Rwanda–Tanzania border.
3. Procurement Method
The bidding process will be conducted through International Competitive Bidding (ICB) using a Request for Bids (RFB) procedure as outlined in the RPCL Procurement Manual.
Participation is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Manual.

Meeting Point: RPCL Administration Building, Rusumo–Ngara District, United Republic of Tanzania.
All interested bidders must attend the site visit, which will be conducted and guided by RPCL staff.
