Company Background
Livestock Bank Ltd is a fast‑growing agribusiness operating a fully integrated poultry value chain, including a modern hatchery, production farm, and slaughterhouse. We work with smallholder farmers to improve food security and expand Rwanda’s livestock sector. To strengthen our financial systems and support rapid expansion, we are seeking a highly competent and experienced Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership across the hatchery, farm, and slaughterhouse operations.
- Oversee all daily financial operations and ensure accurate financial records.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Develop and monitor company budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Manage cash flow, banking operations, accounts payable and receivable, and reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate payroll management and compliance with statutory payments (PAYE, RSSB, VAT, CIT, etc.).
- Lead internal and external audits and ensure timely implementation of recommendations.
- Conduct financial analysis, risk assessments, and provide insights for executive decision‑making.
- Oversee cost accounting for hatchery, feed, production, and slaughterhouse operations.
- Supervise and mentor finance staff to ensure a high‑performance finance department.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree strictly in Accounting or Finance (Mandatory).
- Professional certification is strongly preferred: ACCA or CPA (or in advanced stages).
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in finance or accounting from reputable companies.
- Strong knowledge of Rwanda tax laws, compliance, and financial reporting standards.
- Hands‑on experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Excellent skills in budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical abilities.
- High integrity, strong leadership, and ability to work under pressure in a fast‑growing environment.
