Position: Clean Cooking Technical Expert (RBF Ascent Program)
Organization: ECOGREEN SOLUTIONS LTD
Location: Kigali, Rwanda, with regular travel to satellite centers
ECOGREEN SOLUTIONS LTD is implementing activities under the RBF Ascent Program and is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clean Cooking Technical Expert to support the rollout, monitoring, and scaling of modern clean cooking solutions. The position requires solid technical expertise, field experience, and a strong understanding of Results-Based Financing (RBF) mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the deployment, installation, and scaling of forced air draught pellet stoves
- Provide hands-on technical oversight and troubleshooting during field implementation
- Ensure full compliance with RBF program requirements, including documentation, reporting, and verification
- Prepare and review technical reports, performance data, and RBF claims submissions
- Coordinate and liaise with verification agents, aggregators, suppliers, and program partners
- Support market rollout strategies, including distribution planning and user adoption
- Train field teams, sales agents, and partners on stove operation, maintenance, and quality standards
- Monitor stove performance, usage, and customer feedback to ensure quality and impact
- Support data collection systems, field surveys, and monitoring activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of products and implementation approaches
- Represent ECOGREEN SOLUTIONS LTD in technical meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements when required
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in clean cooking and/or clean cooling technologies
- Demonstrated experience working with Results-Based Financing (RBF) programs such as EnDev, RBF Ascent, or similar initiatives
- Strong technical understanding of forced air draught stoves and pellet-based cooking systems
- Experience working in Rwanda or similar markets is a strong advantage
- Ability to manage field operations, technical documentation, and performance reporting
- Practical, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
Preferred Profile
- Background in renewable energy, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields
- Experience with last-mile distribution, consumer engagement, and clean energy market development
- Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel frequently to field locations
