About BRAC and the Position

BRAC Ultra-Poor Graduation Initiative (UPGI) is implementing the National Strategy for Sustainable Graduation out of Poverty, a transformative program aimed at helping vulnerable communities achieve sustainable livelihoods.

To support this mission, BRAC seeks to recruit a qualified and motivated Administrative & Logistics Officer who will ensure smooth program operations through effective logistics, procurement, travel coordination, and administrative management.

This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to Rwanda’s national poverty reduction efforts while strengthening program systems and processes.


Key Responsibilities

Program Support

  • Support program teams from district level to the National Graduation Secretariat.

  • Ensure compliance with the National Strategy for Sustainable Graduation.

Procurement & Logistics

  • Assist with procurement activities and vendor identification.

  • Collect price quotations, prepare bid analyses, and issue purchase orders.

  • Manage logistics for workshops, training, and events.

  • Prepare service level agreements for smooth project operations.

  • Oversee office resources, assets, and related systems.

Risk Management

  • Serve as Risk Coordinator for UPGI.

  • Maintain and update the risk register for programs and offices.

Administration

  • Manage staff travel arrangements and accommodation.

  • Organize team meetings, workshops, and filing systems.

  • Process invoices and expense claims promptly.

  • Conduct compliance checks and maintain administrative policies.

Human Resources Support

  • Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and maintaining staff files.

  • Keep HR trackers and databases up to date.

  • Support training and orientation for new staff members.


Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain & Logistics, Management, Marketing, Development Studies, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (3 years preferred).
Strong organizational and coordination skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with admin/finance systems.
 Ability to manage procurement, logistics, and HR processes.
 Experience in dynamic or rapidly growing organizations is an advantage.
Interest or experience in global development.
