1. Accountant

Job Responsibilities
The Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial management and reporting in line with applicable standards and regulations. Key duties include:
- Prepare profit and loss statements, monthly closings, and cost accounting reports.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, including general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
- Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and internal control procedures.
- Analyze and review budgets and expenditures for local, state, federal, and private funding, contracts, and grants.
- Monitor and review accounting and financial system reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
- Analyze revenue and expenditure trends, recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.
- Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors, and clients.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Recommend, develop, and maintain financial databases, accounting software systems, and manual filing systems.
- Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports within automated financial systems.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors during audit processes.
- Execute monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and present financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Review and improve financial recording and monitoring processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Facilitate external auditors during audit assignments.
- Maintain a financial reporting calendar and ensure timely preparation of all financial reports.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor in line with the job responsibilities.
Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management with specialization in Finance or Accounting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with specialization in Finance or Accounting
- Professional accounting qualifications recognized by IFAC (ACCA, CPA) are eligible
Required Experience: 0 years of relevant experience
Required Certificates
- Accounting professional qualification recognized by IFAC (ACCA, CPA) is an added advantage.

- Strong understanding of financial accounts and accounting principles
- Knowledge of cost analysis techniques
- High analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong IT skills, particularly in financial systems (SMART IFMIS)

- Ability to analyze complex financial information and produce accurate reports
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda, English, and/or French (knowledge of all three is an added advantage)

2. Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer
Location: Rwanda Employer: Rwanda Management Institute (RMI) Deadline: 23 December 2025
Job Responsibilities
The Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will support strategic planning, monitoring, and reporting functions of the Institute. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop tools for the preparation of the Institution’s strategic plan, medium-term plan, and annual action plans.
- Consolidate data and formulate annual action plans and the Institution’s performance contracts.
- Plan and coordinate program and project execution.
- Consolidate and monitor the Institution’s plans of action.
- Produce the annual activity report of the Institution.
- Regularly develop and update strategic interventions in line with national priorities and Government of Rwanda (GoR) policies.
- Analyze reports and prepare summaries for submission to the Director General.
- Develop and implement monitoring mechanisms and tools to track implementation of national policies and institutional plans.
- Conduct periodic monitoring of institutional activities and performance contracts.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics

- Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies
