About the Role
The Marketing, Communication, and Sustainability Manager is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing, branding, communication, and sustainability strategies that enhance ASA Rwanda’s reputation, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and support organizational impact.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing, Branding & Communication:

Develop and implement robust marketing, communication, and branding strategies aligned with ASA Rwanda and ASA International Group standards.

Position ASA Rwanda as a trusted leading microfinance provider.

Ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across all branches, platforms, and campaigns.

Lead internal and external communications, including media relations, press releases, announcements, speeches, and crisis communication.

Produce impactful content (newsletters, social media, website, reports, success stories).

Organize events, community programs, sponsorships, and webinars to boost visibility.

Build strong relationships with regulators, funders, community leaders, and media partners.
Sustainability Planning & Monitoring:

Develop and monitor annual sustainability targets (CSR, ESG, Client Protection Principles).

Plan, implement, and track CSR and sustainability initiatives with measurable outcomes.

Promote sustainability through engagement with NGOs, regulators, and partners.
Digital Marketing & Business Development Support:

Lead digital marketing campaigns (SEO/SEM, social media, online marketing, email campaigns).

Monitor digital performance metrics and optimize content engagement.

Support product development, investor relations, and donor communications through pitch decks, reports, and impact stories.
Qualifications and Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Social/Environmental Sciences, or related field (Master’s preferred).

5–8 years of experience in marketing, communications, sustainability, or branding, preferably in financial services or social enterprises.

Proven track record in brand strategy, digital marketing, media engagement, and stakeholder management.

Knowledge of sustainability, ESG, client protection, and impact reporting.

Strong leadership, project management, and analytical skills.
