Musanze District is recruiting qualified and motivated individuals for the following positions:


1. 12 Job Positions – Site Technicians

Job Responsibilities

  • Guide the community to implement landscape restoration activities (radical and progressive terraces, tree planting, trenches excavation, etc.).

  • Conduct site inspections, document progress, ensure work safety compliance, and report erosion control issues.

  • Produce catchment rehabilitation and soil erosion control reports (daily, weekly, monthly).

  • Monitor daily attendance of manpower and submit attendance lists every 15 days for payment processing.

  • Follow up on supporting measures such as installation of rainwater harvesting tanks and supply of cows.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Advanced Diploma in Agriculture Sciences – 1 year of relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture – No experience required

  • A2 Certificate in Crop Production / Agriculture / Agroforestry / Forestry – 3 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to work independently and lead a team

  • Languages: English

2. 3 Job Positions – Surveyors

Job Responsibilities

  • Make contour lines where landscape activities will be implemented using dump levels and A-frames.

  • Analyze GIS data and prepare reports.

  • Produce maps of executed works and submit their shape files.

  • Ensure erosion control measures are installed according to design specifications.

  • Communicate findings, concerns, and recommendations to project managers or field crews.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Land Survey & Geomatics Engineering – 2 years of relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying – 2 years of relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Topography – 2 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality

  • Ability to work independently and lead a team

  • Languages: English
