Gahaya Links Ltd is a Rwandan-based social enterprise dedicated to women’s economic empowerment through enterprise design. For over 20 years, Gahaya Links has empowered women artisans to transform their lives and communities through weaving, creating sustainable livelihoods, education access, and better living standards across Rwanda.
We are hiring qualified and passionate professionals for the following positions under the Rwanda Creative Program:
1. Communications Officer
Reports to: Program Manager
Ref: GLL/HR005 | Department: Programs
Role Purpose:
Lead Gahaya Links’ communications strategy and brand visibility, focusing on storytelling, media engagement, digital marketing, and program visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy.
-
Produce and manage engaging content for social media, newsletters, and promotional materials.
-
Maintain and grow online presence across digital platforms.
-
Serve as the communications liaison with media and consortium partners.
-
Develop visibility reports, case studies, and impact stories for donors.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, PR, Media Studies, or related field.
-
5+ years of experience in communications, branding, or marketing.
-
Proven experience in digital marketing, social media management, and visual storytelling.
-
Proficiency with design and marketing tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp).

2. Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer
Reports to: Program Manager
Ref: GLL/HR006 | Department: Programs
Role Purpose:
Design and implement a robust MEL framework to track program results, generate insights, and inform decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Develop MEL frameworks, tools, and reporting formats.
-
Coordinate baseline, midline, and Deadline assessments.
-
Analyze data and prepare MEL reports.
-
Document case studies and lessons learned.
-
Build capacity of staff and cooperatives in MEL processes.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Economics, Statistics, or related field (Postgraduate M&E qualification is an advantage).
-
5+ years of M&E experience in donor-funded programs.
-
Strong data analysis and visualization skills (Power BI, SPSS, Tableau).
-
Experience in participatory M&E and adaptive management.

3. Program Financial Controller
Reports to: Program Manager & CEO
Ref: GLL/HR002 | Department: Finance
Role Purpose:
Oversee financial management of the Rwanda Creative Program, ensuring compliance, accurate reporting, and effective resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage program budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure tracking.

Prepare financial reports for management and donors.
-
Ensure compliance with financial policies and donor requirements.
-
Lead audit preparation and financial risk assessments.
-
Build capacity of staff on financial compliance.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s preferred).
-
Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or CFA) is an asset.
-
10+ years of experience in financial management of donor-funded projects.
-
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and donor compliance.

4. Project Design Lead
Reports to: Program Manager & CEO
Ref: GLL/HR004 | Department: Programs
Role Purpose:
Lead the creative and technical design of artisan products and the 12-week Creative Residency Program, bridging tradition with market-driven innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Design handmade products blending heritage and modern design.
-
Guide co-creation, prototyping, and product development with artisans.
-
Establish quality standards for artisan products.
-
Mentor artisans and facilitate training-of-trainers.
-
Document design processes and share lessons learned.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Product/Fashion Design, Creative Arts, or related field.
-
5+ years of experience in artisan product design and innovation.
-
Strong background in co-design, prototyping, and sustainable design.
-
Experience facilitating workshops and mentoring artisans.
