GAMICO Ltd is a mining company operating the Bashyamba Tin Mine, one of the largest tin producers in Rwanda, located in Kigali Sector, Nyarugenge District.
With nearly a decade of experience, the company’s vision is to industrialize and professionalize its mining operations.
The Management of GAMICO Ltd invites competent, qualified, and experienced professionals to apply for the following positions:
1. Mine Surveyor at GAMICO Ltd | Deadline: 14 November 2025
Duty Station: Kigali, Rwanda
Department: Mineral Resources Management
Reports to: Mineral Resources Manager
Key Responsibilities:
-
Conduct accurate underground and surface mine surveys.
-
Establish and maintain control networks.
-
Prepare topographic, volumetric, and infrastructure surveys.
-
Support mine planning, reconciliation, and data management.
-
Produce weekly/monthly survey and production reports.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Diploma or Degree in Mine or Land Surveying.
-
At least 2 years of mine surveying experience, preferably underground.
-
Skilled in GPS, Total Station, Micromine, Deswik, or Surpac.
2. Mine Planner at GAMICO Ltd | Deadline: 14 November 2025
Duty Station: Kigali, Rwanda
Department: Mineral Resources Management
Reports to: Mineral Resources Manager
Key Responsibilities:
-
Design underground and surface mine layouts.
-
Develop short- and medium-term mine plans.
-
Monitor, reconcile, and report on plan vs actual performance.
-
Conduct scenario analyses and optimization studies.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering, Geology, or Mine Surveying.
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience in mine planning/design.
-
Proficiency in Surpac, Micromine, or Deswik software.
3. Clinic Laboratory Technician at GAMICO Ltd | Deadline: 14 November 2025
Duty Station: Kigali, Rwanda
Department: SHEC (Safety, Health, Environment & Community)
Reports to: Clinic Doctor
Key Responsibilities:
-
Collect, test, and analyze patient samples.
-
Maintain lab equipment and records.
-
Ensure compliance with lab safety and regulatory standards.
-
Manage inventory and prepare reports.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Bachelor’s in Laboratory Sciences or Technology.
-
At least 2 years’ clinical experience.
-
Must hold a valid professional license.
4. Plant Electrician at GAMICO Ltd | Deadline: 14 November 2025
Duty Station: Kigali, Rwanda
Department: Processing / Metallurgy
Reports to: Plant Maintenance Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
-
Install and maintain electrical systems in the plant.
-
Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults.
-
Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment.
-
Support operations to ensure plant reliability.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
A2 or Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Industrial Electricity.
-
At least 2 years’ experience, preferably in mining.
-
Strong problem-solving and safety skills.
5. Plant Welder at GAMICO Ltd | Deadline: 14 November 2025
Duty Station: Kigali, Rwanda
Department: Processing / Metallurgy
Reports to: Plant Maintenance Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
-
Perform welding and fabrication for plant maintenance.
-
Repair plant structures, tanks, and pipelines.
-
Inspect and test weld quality.
-
Work with teams during plant shutdowns and repairs.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Certificate or Diploma in Welding.
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience (industrial/mining preferred).
-
Skilled in MIG, TIG, SMAW, and oxy-acetylene methods.
6. Plant Sampler at GAMICO Ltd | Deadline: 14 November 2025
Duty Station: Kigali, Rwanda
Department: Processing / Metallurgy
Reports to: Processing Superintendent / Metallurgist
Key Responsibilities:
-
Collect and prepare samples from plant circuits.
-
Ensure accurate labeling and traceability.
-
Support metallurgical accounting and process control.
-
Record and report sampling data.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
A2 in Sciences or related field.
-
1 year of experience in mineral processing preferred.
-
Knowledge of shaking tables, jigs, and spiral concentrators.
7. Plumbing Technician at GAMICO Ltd | Deadline: 14 November 2025
Duty Station: Kigali, Rwanda
Department: Processing / Metallurgy
Reports to: Plant Maintenance Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
-
Install and maintain water and slurry piping systems.
-
Inspect and repair pipelines, valves, and pumps.
-
Support maintenance and ensure system safety.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Certificate or Diploma in Plumbing or Mechanical Systems.
-
At least 2 years’ relevant experience (mining preferred).
-
Strong teamwork and safety awareness.
