Job Vacancy Announcement
Nyaruguru District (NYARUGURU) is seeking to recruit 42 Foremen/Forewomen for the construction of schools under the supervision of MINEDUC. Successful candidates will oversee and guide construction teams, ensuring that projects meet required standards and timelines.
Job Responsibilities
-
Guide masons and manpower by providing technical expertise and ensuring adherence to MINEDUC-approved drawings and standards.

Submit weekly and on-demand progress reports to the District level and copy the Sector Executive Secretary.

Monitor construction works to ensure compliance with MINEDUC norms and standards.
-
Take care of materials, tools, and equipment, and prepare utilization reports at both District and Sector levels.
-
Record daily works done and materials used in the site logbook.
-
Maintain ethical values and confidentiality during and after the contract period.

Provide daily updates via text message to the District School Construction Engineer and/or MINEDUC School Construction Field Officer.

Perform services with the highest standards of professional and ethical competence.

Ensure compliance with site-specific ESMP, Environmental and Social Standards, and any other safeguard requirements.

Facilitate the grievance redress mechanism at the site level.
Qualifications
Option 1:

Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering

2 Years of relevant experience
Option 2:
-
A2 Certificate of RTQF Level 5 (S6) in Masonry
-
3 Years of relevant experience
Option 3:
-
Advanced Diploma in Construction
-
2 Years of relevant experience
Option 4:
-
Advanced Diploma in Construction Management
-
2 Years of relevant experience
Option 5:
-
A2 Certificate in Public Works
-
3 Years of relevant experience
Option 6:

A2 Certificate in Construction Technology
-
3 Years of relevant experience
