About the Role:
Irembo is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team. You will be involved in developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions while collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams. This role also includes mentoring junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and participating in the hiring process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve software applications.

• Build effective communication channels between technical and non-technical teams.

• Collaborate with the product team to deliver innovative products to the market.

• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.

• Evaluate and interview candidates in the hiring pipeline.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience building web services at scale.

• Deep understanding of web technologies and protocols.

• Strong knowledge of industry best practices.

• Experienced in NodeJS and Java/Spring Framework.

• Over 4 years of experience, including at least 2 years in tech leadership.

• Demonstrated leadership and team coordination skills.

• BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
