Rwanda Ultimate Golf Course (RUGC) is a private company established to position Rwanda as Africa’s leading golfing destination and one of the greatest in the world. Its flagship project, the Kigali Golf Resort & Villas, is a world-class development designed by the renowned Gary Player, featuring a five-star Clubhouse and premium amenities.
Job Purpose
The Procurement Officer will support the day-to-day procurement operations at RUGC, ensuring the efficient and compliant acquisition of goods, works, and services. The role involves supplier sourcing, documentation, and coordination with departments to maintain timely, transparent, and cost-effective purchasing processes.
Key Responsibilities

Receive, review, and process purchase requests in line with approved budgets and specifications.

Solicit quotations from approved suppliers and assist in bid evaluation.

Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring timely approvals and deliveries.

Follow up with vendors to ensure accurate and on-time order fulfillment.

Maintain regular communication with suppliers on pricing, timelines, and specifications.

Support identification of new suppliers and maintain an updated vendor database.

Assist in evaluating supplier performance and ensuring compliance with RUGC standards.

Maintain accurate procurement records, including requests, quotations, approvals, and delivery notes.

Support report preparation and audit processes.

Collaborate with the Stores and Finance departments to reconcile deliveries, payments, and stock records.

Promote cost efficiency while upholding quality standards.

Participate in periodic stock verification and supplier performance reviews.

Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.

Maintain confidentiality, transparency, and integrity in all procurement dealings.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the hospitality or resort sector.

Familiarity with MC/Material Control or ERP procurement systems.

Strong understanding of sourcing, vendor management, and ethical procurement practices.
