Rwanda Ultimate Golf Course (RUGC) is a private company established to position Rwanda as Africa’s premier golfing destination and one of the finest in the world. Its flagship project, the Kigali Golf Resort & Villas, is a real estate masterpiece designed by the renowned Gary Player, featuring a five-star Clubhouse and luxury amenities.

Job Purpose

The IT Manager will oversee all technology-related operations across the RUGC property, ensuring seamless system performance, strong network infrastructure, and efficient digital operations that support all business functions. This role combines strategic IT leadership with hands-on technical management within a five-star hospitality and golf environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, Wi-Fi, routers, and switches.
Ensure reliable connectivity between all departments (clubhouse, golf course, villas, offices, etc.).
Oversee setup and maintenance of CCTV and access control systems.
Implement cybersecurity measures and ensure compliance with data protection standards.
Manage installation and maintenance of hospitality systems such as MICROS POS, Material Control (MC), Property Management System (PMS), CRM, ERP, and OASYS.
Ensure integration between systems (POS, Inventory, Finance, PMS, CRM, etc.).
Provide IT support and training to staff across departments.
Manage IT vendors, service providers, and project contractors.
Plan and execute IT projects including upgrades, digital transformation, and system improvements.
Ensure secure data backup and recovery systems.
Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with RUGC’s goals.
Prepare IT budgets and monitor expenditures.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Professional certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, PMP, or ITIL are an advantage.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT management, preferably in hospitality or luxury property.
Proven experience with MICROS POS, MC, PMS systems, and network administration.
Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, and cloud systems.
Experience in project management, budgeting, and vendor relations.
